AIUC Raises $40M Series A and Launches Insured Agent Standard AIUC-1

Startup AIUC announced a $40 million Series A funding round to develop AIUC-1, an AI agent standard backed by insurance, according to Latent Space. Cofounder Rune Kvist stated that building trust and resolving liability will be critical as companies deploy autonomous AI systems.

AIUC-1 Framework and Industry Collaboration

AIUC is developing the AIUC-1 standard to benchmark AI agent safety, security, and reliability. The firm is currently collaborating with frontier AI companies including Cursor, Harvey, Lovable, and ElevenLabs to evaluate systems and address failure scenarios. [1]

Stress-Testing and Third-Party Oversight

Under the AIUC-1 framework, autonomous agents are audited against adversarial threats, hallucinations, and data leakage. Cofounder Rune Kvist argues that external auditing is necessary because frontier AI labs cannot operate effectively as their own watchdogs. [1]
